More men than women. They promote from within and don't know what to do with external hires when hired above the consulting level.

When traveling sometimes up to 100% per week for business, it can be challenging to have a sense of fit within the culture. At Accenture; however, the local leadership went out of their way to really restrict travel to Mon am to Thu pm and have in office days on Friday. On Friday's local leadership would organize networking events (happy hours, food in office, dinners, etc.) in order for people to get a "sense" of belonging to a particular group i.e., the Denver office.

Accenture has a fantastic training and mentoring program. You work hard, but learn from the best. Would recommend it to anyone.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
It's competetive evnvironment. You are compensated but there is a lot of work. Limited personal time.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
I have worked for 10 companies over my 25 year career history (8 yrs at Accenture) and 1 year each at Hackett and Huron and, hands down, Accenture is by far the best place to work not only as a consulting firm but as a company in general. The compensation is terrific, the people are amazing and the leadership clearly knows what they're doing and where they're going. If given the opportunity I would go back to work for Accenture in a heartbeat.

Accenture's market reputation is pretty good. And this item in my CV says a lot for other employers and allows me to bypass a lot of questions. However, it is not 100% positive. I have heard some bad references about Accenture but I believe it is not because of specific company, it is more about consulting as an industry.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Good reputation due to advertising.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Good market reputation in terms of professionality, but may be we have also a reputation of working too hard what some times make us difficult to recruit young people
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Excellent
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Quite effective.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Accenture is all about teamwork, collaboration and mutual success. This is what I like about this company. There was a competition aspect in the work process but it never jeopardized success of the project. I would call it healthy. Now I value it even more, after working in the industry where it is not the case.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
They are go getters
Employee
Competitive, smart people with deep knowledge on their expertise but significantly affected by inside politics

It is a great place to start a career as it gives you a lot of exposure to different situations. A good ramp for a career.
