Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Very low base but benefits are generous. Vacations are not competitive with rest of industry.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
More Indian than American firm.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
HR processes are archaic and not built to cope for an organization that has grown so much now.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Very disorganized and no cohesive teams. The brand still needs development and is seen as a 2nd tier consulting company.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Don't know
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Not required to go to an office when on the bench. All work done from home or at client site
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
People are humble, but there are a lot of politics
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
They are seen as a fast riser but still 2nd tier consulting firm with a newer brand. It is also strongly seen as an Indian company, but it's trying to get away from that.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Cognizant is not a consulting company per se. It thinks it is, but doesn't know how to effectively engage with customers on a strategic level and get counted as a partner org. Most of the projects are body shopping projects, for project management roles.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Compensation is well below par. Bonuses are a joke. You only get a fraction of what you are promised, which is small sum to start with.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Hypocrite leaders - some who does not know much about the industry but talks big.
Employee - Director
Cognizant is a huge mess and things only work by relationships. Many people are nice but the executive leadership is blood-sucking. Also, your manager has too much control over you.
Employee - Director
Culture is highly political and regional in nature
Employee - Director
They are in the midst of a major transition from high growth to mature growth. The current management does not really know what to do to navigate this transition.
Employee - Director
Confusing and political company culture.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Middle management does not have required experience or expertise, training on this would be beneficial in many ways including employee attrition
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Lacks knowledge base.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Lacks meritocracy and diversity.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
IT company, not so popular in non-IT domain
Employee
Consulting work is more of a driver to charge heads who do IT work at a higher rate, force fit to roles like presales which are mundane like responding to RFPs
