Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
The culture was very people-focused, as illustrated by the rich employee benefits, flexibility to travel somewhere other than home for the weekend within the same price, but the reality was that the Partner on a project would determine whether his/her team was people-focused, e.g., none of my projects gave me flexibility around when to travel to the client site or how often, the expectation was always that i would be available at any time of day any day of the week to check e-mail, do work, and join meetings, there was a very strong emphasis on face time so that if I wasn't around on a specific day or didn't stay in the office until after the Partner and managers had left I would be perceived as slacking off... it was an unnecessarily stressful day-to-day environment. It was also difficult to take advantage of some benefits, for example: taking time off was always a struggle and I learned to book it to follow the end of projects only, because I knew it wouldn't be approved by my managers otherwise; many women at my level felt that if they wanted to take maternity leave or have a more flexible travel schedule or more predictable work schedule, they had to invest a lot of time into getting leadership on their side one person at a time...
Employee
Stoggy compared to Accenture and down-market compared to McKinsey.
Employee - Manager
Great for professional development. Work with really smart people and highly energized environment. However, toxic environment. Highly competitive. Huge focus on metrics and sales.
