It's varied depending on the market and who has interacted with Deloitte. The C-Suite loves Deloitte. I've heard great stories from people who have interacted with the specific project teams and really bad stories about the project teams. It leaves Deloitte with a mixed reputation in the market.

It used to be an amazing place to work for all employees, all levels. The culture was collaborative, challenging and frankly fun. It has changed over the past few years to be more gritty, stepping on top of each other, and not caring as much about the individual. It might have been the practice that I was in. It might have been how close I was to the top of the practice. However, my practice (inclusive of Deloitte Consulting, Deloitte Advisory, and Deloitte FAS) had 8,000 people in it (Federal practice). Pretty good sample.

It's an excellent company to grow as a young consultant. You gain a wide set of experiences, and have the opportunity to learn critical skills. At the manager/senior manager level; it becomes more about the politics of the firm and less about growth and serving the client.
