I would recommend Deloitte to a friend who is interested in getting into consulting. However, I will add the caveat that like all big 4 consulting firms, there are a lot of internal firm / organization / project politics and the general rule of "loudest squeak gets the grease" applies. Additionally, despite what the firm will tell you, you rarely get control over what projects or direction your career takes. Most of the time, it's based on what the firm needs rather than your interest.

Compensation structure is based on who you know, rather than what you do. If you work really hard but don't have a senior leader to speak about your accomplishments, you will likely not be compensated for your hard work. Conversely, if you know the right senior leader and work with them, you will be happily compensated.

Deloitte's culture is very competitive among all levels of employees. The inherent review process pits employees against each other so it's a constant battle of working on projects that gets noticed by senior leadership.

Market reputation is very good amongst clients buying work, as we often beat out 'strategy-only' competitors, but with new recruits and outside consulting it is not where it needs to be

Some people drink the kool aid, and publicly you should act as though you have too. There is a lot of work done to build up the firm internally, firm initiatives are required on top of client work.
