Working hours were brutal. More than once I worked 24 consecutive hours to support a senior executive who was unprepared with a business proposal.

The culture is very top-down with clearly identified "favorites." In my role, very little room for technical knowledge growth or expansion. Some senior executives could be very encouraging, others were like children throwing tantrums when things didn't go their way.

Reach for the top. The compensation structure puts a massive premium on achieving "Partner" status. Results in all manner of cut-throat behavior and people looking out just for themselves.

Manager and Senior Manager made good money. $110 plus bonus for Manager - $160k plus bonus for Senior Manager. But the next level, Partner, could make $750k to $3M per year. The Consultants and Senior Consultants were fodder for the Senior Managers to climb to Partner for the huge paycheck.

Salary only until Senior Consultant level. Bonus is very minimal due to the size and number of staff. Salary increase is done yearly, and was less than 3% on average while I was with the firm.
