Great place for someone fresh out of college to start a career...great training programs

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Crowded- by having so many layers, it's challenging to know the true direction and vision of leadership...A huge amount of autonomy is given to team members which sometimes becomes a detriment to competing ideas.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Compensation is straight forward...you have a base salary and if you meet your annual commitments, you may receive a raise or bonus. Any new business brought on board qualifies for bonuses as well. Compensation structure does differ depending on which area of specialty you fall under. For example- commercial vs federal, IT vs Financial, etc.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

The culture can be a bit challenging. It is very easy to understand though. They often supply people in volume with a mixture of youthful consultants trying to get a fresh start with a senior consultant or 2 to provide guidance...the hours working on client sites are often longer than need be because of the huge amount of overlap. It can be stressful at times and hard to gain any attachment to a team of you are a traveler.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

For the financial side of the house- they are top notch...the IT side is still a work in progress....acquisitions of IT based firms helped speed up the process but may have somewhat hindered the culture growth.

Deloitte has capabilities and market presence across the board. Networking into other areas of the firm can be tricky but is possible. Deloitte is NOT a snobby place to work. Fancy degrees and flashy credentials are not helpful or valuable here. In general, the firm values hard work (and very long hours).

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

It depends. Different practice groups have different cultures.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Has a more glamorous reputation than what it's actually like

Employee - Principal/VP/Director

Family culture of being protective of once own. But every family also has some issue which revolve around 'fitting the norm' and staying in line with very limited collaboration as everyone competes for the same clients and sales. No open and direct feedback or criticism instead passive aggression and sidelining people that don't follow the norm. One strike can get people get gradually sidelined.

Employee - Principal/VP/Director

Strong brand in the market especially in financial services.
