Employee
If you want the consulting lifestyle, yes. The incredible learning and growing experiences are tremendous. I was the most intellectually challenged and engaged in this role out of all my business roles. Otherwise, the lifestyle was oppressive with travel 5 days a week and a very fraternity like consulting culture.
Employee
Top notch, hard working, smart leaders who care about their people. Middle managers/partners vary, and by region.
Employee
Was underpaid as. Senior Consultant with an MBA and received no bonus as part of my compensation.
Employee
Very consulting : fraternity like culture where people work hard and then go out to extravagant dinners and drink a lot. It also is a culture where you make of it what you will...you can learn tons, approach partners, get involved in all kinds of ventures, and soar to the top based upon your relationships and hard work.
Employee
Super strong...working strategists who know how to get things done, not just pontificate.
Employee
An extremely intelligent group of folks with which to work. Regarding HR related issues, they truly 'walked the walk' and encouraged employees, on many levels, to improve not on improve your skills, but to improve yourself. it was a pleasure working with the firm.
Employee
Intelligent; focused; mentoring
Employee
Very good market reputation
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Deloitte Consulting is the best professional services firm in the world. I had a great career there, my colleagues were the best consulting professionals, and I got to serve the best clients. Deloitte provides an environment that is challenging, collegial and encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
The firm is led by proven, eminent consulting professionals. The leadership team is constantly evolving, and firm leaders remain relevant in the marketplace (i.e., they do not become administrative overhead).
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
As a Principal, I had a certain number of units and was compensated based on firm performance (i.e., unit values in a given year, where the baseline unit value was $1,000). Since I never had a performance rating of below "exceeding expectations" my compensation (number of units) increased almost every year. I was also able to grow my partnership capital, which is being repaid to me, with ROI, since I retired from being an active Principal in 2009. In my view, the salary and bonus structure for managers and staff, and also for support staff, was competitive.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Deloitte strives to have its clients and people excel. It is a culture of teamwork, recognition of excellence, and continuous professional growth. There is tremendous respect for diversity.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Deloitte is recognized as the best professional services firm in the world. It is in every analysts' top tier (magic quadrant, etc.) for every service that it chooses to provide. The firm made great strides in building a highly respected and widely recognized global brand during the 1999 - 2009 decade. CxOs trust Deloitte and always have Deloitte on their "short list" for strategic, high impact initiatives.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Only recommended as entry level. Most experienced hires will fail within their culture
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Interested in making money first, building a domain, and lastly, serving the customer
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Pays well at the senior manager level and above. Sell more, make more.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
All the group meetings were about how to make more money and move up the ladder. And how great Deloitte is
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Global successful firm that covers all aspects of a company's needs. But a little research shows a long trail of failed or under performing projects.
