I've worked for several firms now, including the big boys PwC, EY, etc, FTI stands out as a work life balance place. I've heard about work life balance in every firm I worked at but reality quickly sits in and you end up racking 80 and 90 hours a week. FTI is more mindful of your time and unless there's an emergency you rarely work 70 hours a week, and you get paid overtime for it!! I've never seen a consulting firm that pays overtime. Finally, bonus structure is unique in that the rates can go way up (north of 30%) and its based only on individual performance (not firm or practice impact).

Base and quarterly overtime for hours above level utilization targets (targets are consistent with bog 4). Annual bonus is employee performance based only, no firm or practice performance impact, and ranges from 10 to 35% (not exact percentages). Finally, at MD and SMD levels, there are some share options that I'm not familiar with.

I was surprised to see the level of collaboration I got when I seek help. Every firm talks about that but it was outstanding at FTI. Also the commitment to innovation is great. The firm will dedicate time and resources to support you if you have an innovative idea. Integrity is real here. I've seen leaders walk away from opportunities because they were not convinced we are 100% capable to deliver. In my past, I've seen firms manipulate credentials to qualify for something just for the revenue
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Known as the go getters, the ones that roll up their sleeves and get work done vs. submit reports. My client has almost every consulting firm on site including Mckinsey, Deloitte, Accenture, EY, etc. the feed back I get from them is that they like us the most because we make things happen and willing to do whatever it takes to enable it

Having worked for a big four and mid-size consulting firms, I find FTI to be ahead in terms of project types, work environment, and culture.
