Leaders. Innovators. Instead of asking "why?" they ask "why not?" Collaborative across groups, divisions, business units and offices. Focus on the prize. Speak up, you have an opinion that is valued and encouraged. Work hard, play hard. Integrity is fundamental. Polish, poise and substantive eloquence is highly valued.

Employee - Vice President

Suggest changing senior management assessment. In house system manual / procedure build up.

I felt the oneness working at Goldman. Periodic on sites and off sites sharing with employees management decisions and information made me feel INVOLVED. Goldman takes really good care of employees and shareholders as well.

Employee - Vice President

They have a level of excellence in everything that they do.

Employee - Vice President

People were proud of working at Goldman because of its culture of excellence and being at the cutting edge. Strong sense of belonging.

Former Employee

If given the chance to change something, I would teach them how to be human they are a bunch of arrogant assholes and they have no morales

Former Employee

give up your personal life and get counseling for an abusive relationship with this good for nothing firm of posers

Former Employee

Enviroment is abusive and confusing mean spirited and rude

Employee - Senior Vice President

I am not proud of it, knowing what I know of the firm, but others perceive me as something "more" because of it.

The whole review system, which I understand has been changed, was a giant exercise in game theory with no statistically significant outcomes. Just scrap it. Create metrics for ethical behavior and promoting team success as well as revenue and profitability targets-- GS pays lip service to it, but the leadership don't walk the talk.

Employee - Vice President

They get the big business decisions mostly right, but the details are chaos. Also, the technology organization is extremely dysfunctional and generally unresponsive to actual business. The top engineering talent all want to be desk strats, and everyone else is second-best.

Employee - Vice President

Very competitive not collaborative-- lots of turf wars. Lip service to ethics and service but prescriptive cookie cutter on rules yet missing the big picture of socially conscious.

Employee - Associate

Politics and favoritism should changed

Employee - Vice President

Recent Senior management change in the Tech division. They now focus on only in house software and languages which makes it hard to retain employees since many new analysts would prefer to work with known languages like pyhthon, informatica, Business objects etc

Employee - Vice President

Bad place to work if you are 50 or older. Company only cares about new hires out of school

Employee - Vice President

Company is very political. If you are not tied into the right group you are out

Employee - Senior Vice President

Competitive, collaborative and meritorious

Employee - Vice President

Would change the environment
