Former Employee - Manager
Was a fantastic place to build my early career in consulting. Has since lost some focus, but still a solid organization.

HCC was about making connections with your team and your client. People went out of their way to do the right thing, not bill the most. Nobody was "camping out" at client sites. Assess, create value, move on....

In India, Hyderabad centered hire and fire company. People think they make ACs!!!. Struggling, not much work.

Aspirational company, but suffers from cronyism. Multiple sister companies with conflicting mission. All action is only at headquarters. Lot said but very little done. Sloganeering versus real action.

India leadership at my time were confused and just wanted to jump on to the digital transformation with no clear strategy. It was not coming together well at all.

I still work in the consulting industry. Hitachi Consulting's rep has gotten worse over the years. Phil Parr really screwed up a good opportunity to build a strong smaller firm. They have no focus so clients dont really know what HC is good at. Lots of turnover so quality continues to be an issue. They are not big like Accenture but they are not a boutique with a deep focus. They dont have low prices like Cap Gemini or off-shore.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Hitachi Consulting grew by acquiring multiple firms. As a result of this and poor integration it had a very poor culture. Most people liked their old firms but did not feel a part of the larger Hitachi Consulting. Lots of in-fighting and lack of buy-in on management's plans.

Pay scale is lower than most other firms. Forced to use offshore personnel over US based employees. Lack of leadership in company, not focused, poor ethics.
