The opportunity to work from home when not at client site is probably the best perk. This anyway is true for most IT consulting companies these days.

If one has to succeed in the company one has to work hard, not in delivering value to the customers, but in making one's managers and superiors happy. People in the company are always 'busy', so don't expect to get a response to your emails.

IBM is a good brand name. But these days the leadership seems to be doing everything possible to destroy that. Most customers know how painful it is to work with IBM these days. Feels like we are back in the 80's and 90's when IBM was in dire straits.

I worked with good people on projects at IBM. The work itself was fine. IBM has some archaic rules regarding taxes and travel expenses. The company made some mistakes in my case, and has made me cover some of the taxes that they should have covered. I am not happy with the way I have been treated in this situation. In addition, the company has too many levels of management, and is not well managed. I wish my friends well, but I would not recommend IBM to anyone else for employment.

Most of the good people have left. They don't operate like a consulting firm, and the firm is a mess.

IBM had a wacky way of giving credit, and doesn't give credit for actual work, capping hours, not giving recognition for its people. Outrageously cheap expense policies that are embarrassing.
