No. Other areas like sales and operations but not for GBS. It has changed a lot and IBM decided to deactivate this line of business. Nowadays almost all of the known coleagues hás left the company by quiting or by lay offs that started intensively in 2014/2015 and last until the last usar.

If you want it, we will sell it to you.

Former Employee - Manager

Too big and slow to react to market conditions. Treats employees like commodities and business unit is declining in their capabilities

Former Employee - Associate Partner

Little cooperation. Infighting over a shrinking pie

Every quarter they ask for your 110%, acumulative... there is not balance with the life and work

Former Employee - Associate/Consultant

With reservations that the organization is frequently at loggerheads with their client - mostly of necessity, creating a stressful environment if sustained.

Current Employee - Principal/VP/Director

No clear career path or development of skills. Poor leadership. Projects often times do not present good opportunities to grow skills & experience junior staff. Large bench and layoffs, as a result.

Former Employee - Associate Partner

IBM GBS has a great group of individuals. That said the overall executive leadership cares very little about people and is only focused on profit.

Former Employee - Manager

A good place to start. Not a good place to stay longer than 5 years

2019-02-08

Former Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Biased against Europeans, North Americans, males, and members of groups that have no legal protections.

2019-02-08

Former Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Opportunism, self-promotion, sycophantic relationships, and billable hours are the coins of the realm.

Former Employee - Manager

The scope of work and exposure limits the development of the individual. Lack of growth opportunities and innovation inhibits the pace of thinking.
