Based on challenges in its Technology Services IBM's market Reputation has suffered a bit.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Yes, i would recommend - but with reservations. The local operating unit is usually pretty good, but there is an intense review of bench time for individuals and placement into a contract, even if the value-add is marginal. A very heavy emphasis on Project Management using IBM specific tools, even if there are better tools available in the market place
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Highly matrix oriented. very difficult to understand who is running a specific account and what their agenda happens to be. very margin oriented - often times at the detriment of the client
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Emphasis on unit/organization financial goals - often at the expense of client value.
Employee - Manager
IBM Walks the Talk. Enjoyed working with them.
Employee - Manager
Well integrated with rest of organization, great partner/mentoring relationships, great working conditions, worthwhile work challenges and opportunities, rewards on par with risk involved on projects.

Its market reputation varies based on perspective and experience. Mostly positive at 99.8% level
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Lots of meetings to solve problems and gain consensus.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Adequate reputation. They still have a mindset to build systems that are main frame, as opposed to building solutions. In fairness, this may have changed with their acquisitions.
