Compensation will depend based on your manager who has complete control to make or break your career at IBM. As per industry standard i would say IBM GBS pay scales are average. They are never considered a good paymaster. However bonus payout in IBM GBS has been low to nil over the last several years because of declining revenue.

working environment culture is good. Lot of openness and transparency in the work. However the culture of managing your boss is actually counter productive. There are many people who survives just being their boss's man/woman.

Market reputation depends on the relative size /reputation in the market. The global top consulting organizations do not put additional premium on IBM GBS knowing how bureaucratic it is. But for smaller organizations IBM GBS does mean a lot of value.
