Their market reputation is almost all marketing. The talented go on to found their own companies or leave for competitors that are winning over business. They want to be the Cadillac of Tech world, but know they are a car wreck on the side of the highway, letting progress pass them by while they say, "Me too!"

IBM is not innovative. They make doing your job difficult because of all of their legacy systems. Very little if any collaboration.

The only thing that IBM cares about is their P&L. They make bad employee decisions all the time just to save a little money, but it ends up costing them more in the end.
