Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
No longer, have seen they have lost the focus of what they sell. they sell people and think they sell megabytes of data.

Terrible bonuses and little to no raise each year. Constant layoffs as well.

The bonuses are a joke. They are routinely in the 1-2% range (based upon salary).

Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Technology focused consulting firm.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
IBM is good firm for technology / technical consulting. But the IBM, in some cases e.g. strategy and transformation, positions itself as strategy consulting which is a bit misleading. Also the firm was going through a transition period for the last 2 years. I believe they are trying to focus on their core strength which is technology. Again good firm for tech, lousy for strategy/ operation.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Since IBM was in a transition period over the last two years, it is my opinion that there was some lack of direction, focus and communication. There also seemed to be a lot of attrition and downsizing.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
It is my opinion that IBM compensation is lower than comparable firms. IBM has a wide and overlapping pay grades. So a consultant and senior consultant could make the same compensation.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
The reputation is sort of a mix and seems to be declining. Most employers don't think of IBM as a consulting firm. They assume and brand IBM as a core tech company. Well its true in many ways. But one should not forget that IBM -GBS is actually PWC's consulting arm which IBM bought in early 2000's.
