Employee - Principal/VP/Director
It is a skewed population at IBM USA. Mostly White Americans at Partner levels (client non-billable employees). Mostly Indians and other cultures at mid/lower levels (client billable and direct revenue generating employees)
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Used to be an excellent company. Mass layoff of excellent employees and promoting non-knowledgeable employees at decision making levels and killed the company. Excellent proof is Gartner bring them down below even some of the Indian Consulting company in SAP Consulting space in the last few years although IBM was #1 for so many years. Unfortunately the great SAP skilled employees who took them to #1 were asked to leave the company

Long hours, different pay depending on if male or female, favortism. Unprofessional work ethics. Half completed deliverables.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Leaders are good at grooming junior staff but do not work well with experienced employees that come in from elsewhere. Very political and hierarchical.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Auditing culture prevailed from PWC acquisition. If you did not come in through the acquisition, you had better have the protection of a partner or you may not succeed.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Nobody gets fired for hiring IBM to do a job.
Employee - Partner
They don't reward employees with raises or incentives. Promotions can expect only a 10% salary increase. Comp is not aligned to industry standards. I also found some of their practices unethical.
Employee - Partner
Aligned, goal driven
Employee - Partner
They offer base plus bonus potential for Sr Managing. consultants and above.
Employee - Partner
There is a lot of teamwork at IBM.
Employee - Partner
They seem to be considered an old burucratic company that is not innovative. It is perceived that they can't execute on their business strategies so instead- they just buy companies.
