Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

This firm only see numbers not people

Employee

People are treated very poorly, systems are antiquated, there is little reward, clients don't trust

Employee

Shifty, self centered, bean counting, arrogant, dillusional, unsupportive, inappropriate, sick, confused

Employee

OK - a giant is respected out of fear.

Employee

Culture is base on one speed - acquire and consume other companies.

Employee

Compensation is a hoax. Make sure you get your desired rate going in. Everything will be done to avoid paying you bonus. Although I was given numerous recommendations and recognitions from top leaders. I see now it was all a ploy just to set an image of solid work ethics. Nothing resulted in compensation for working 80 hours per week or being left alone on projects to complete demands from major clients.

Employee

quick witted. smart answers with no substance. Looking and waiting on someone else - to provide results.

Employee

Unstable environment. Low concern for its employees. Aggressive and sluggishly top heavy. They let a lot of good people go. Certain type "A" Personality traits are redundant throughout the firm.

Employee

Even if your contract says bonus, if the company doesn't perform you do not get a bonus. Leadership will steal your work, the credit, and the numbers to retire their own quotas

Employee

Manufacturing culture where people are just bill of materials items, interchangeable

Employee - Manager

IBM GBS has a fairly decent reputation in the Consulting market, but is too often seen as being too large and complex, therefore is seen as less nimble than some of the smaller firms. Clients tend to find it hard to determine "who's throat to choke" when business consulting issues arise.

Employee - Manager

With IBM being one of the largest consultancy firms in the world, it can be too hard for employees to shine, and promotions can be hard to come by. It is also very difficult to transfer to a different section of the consulting business once you have joined.

Employee - Manager

IBM is very well known for paying for performance.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Flex time, telecommute and comp time off are the best perks offered.

Employee - Manager

IBM is a renowned company with top-notch service offerings, and top-tier consultants.

Employee - Manager

Excellent market reputation specially in the Tech and Hi-Tech space. Not much exposure towards strategy consulting arena.

Employee - Manager

Relaxed atmosphere, but strong adherence to company policies and practices. Things are done differently than the usual mom and pop consulting firms. Strong technical knowledge emphasis.

Employee - Manager

Company performance and Individual contributions are put together to arrive at a blended score that determines Bonus structure. Other intangible benefits and state of the art facilities provide other benefits.

Employee - Manager

Visionary, Out of the Box, Agile, Quick turnaround, Exceptional talent, Talent Management

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Excellent market reputation. Best of the best. Prestigious. As the saying goes, "Nobody ever got fired for hiring IBM." Now, there probably are all kinds of stories and maybe even hidden meanings beneath that saying. Yet, I think at face value, it is a testament to the brand's reputation. People feel confident in IBM's ability to deliver and do a great job.
