Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
Indiana University has both a strong educational focus (in terms of academic rigor) and a strong student development orientation (in terms of preparing students for careers and life, in general). I was always well paid and treated with a lot of respect by colleagues and administration. The students tended to be a bit blase about their education, but that's fairly normal in large universities.
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
I worked in Indiana University's highly-ranked Kelley School of Business, which is recognized for high quality business education all over the world.
Employee - Professor
Great university which takes on new adjunct professors willingly. Has always treated it's students great, and now I can confirm that it treats it's faculty well as well.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
Being an RA was very fulfilling.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
Very collaborative and encouraging.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
Indiana University is a top employer in Bloomington.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
A political nightmare. Every day is full of meetings and nothing ever gets accomplished. Employees are not appreciated and undervalued. The newly appointed Chancellor and his cabinet manage by intimidation.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Oppressive culture.
Employee - Professor
I can't really say if I recommend it or not - I was in a graduate program and part of my stipend was being an Associate Instructor. I really don't consider myself an "employee" of the university.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The culture has totally change since they no longer value employees any more, it is all about profit.
Employee - Professor
This is academia here. If you were white, there was a problem. If you were male, there was a problem. If you were not left of center, you were not considered worthy of tenure.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Worst culture. Management has a fear based mentality. Very unprofessional and do not invest in employees. Very inefficient and what they claim in marketing is not what they practice for patients.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Do not show appreciation or value high performers. Created a culture of fear. Indiana University Health
Employee - Entry / Intern
I was completely out of place. Never bothered to integrate me in to the teams. Overall it was a bit shallow hospital culture.
