Poor quality from the mechanical engineering function. Little to no support from local management in terms of guidance or resources requested during first experience as a project manager. Jacobs was referred to internally as "cheap Charlie" because the pay was inferior.

I would highly recommend joining Jacobs because of my personal experience I joined Jacobs (Humphreys & Glasgow Engineering Consultants) as a trainee engineer in 1988. I learnt maximum with Jacobs. I was mentored and provided with multiple opportunities. Successfully delivered fertilizer, LNG, Paint, Pharmaceutical plants as part of multidiscipline team. I was deputed to Chiyoda Corporation Japan for LNG plant engineering. I learnt a lot from Japanese team.
