Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Know the situation and any circumstances before accepting any position especially when going offshore.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Very impersonal. No employee loyalty. They use you, then let you go with no severance package or apologies.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Enjoyed the people I worked with. Highly competent for the most part. Very poor management decisions when it comes to releasing employees. No explanations, no notice, no severance. Really sucks.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
I don't think Jacobs is loyal to their employees.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
They lacked loyalty to their employees.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
The pay is substandard to other engineering opportunities.
Employee - Engineer
Most ridiculous company I've ever worked with. I'm in USA on student visa (F1) which allows 3 years of work post graduation. There is a Conflict of Interest agreement amongst recruiting companies that if one working in one of the big 3 automakers (Ford in my case)then that person will not be hired by other recruiters for the other 2 automakers. Jacobs and Ford took advantage of me paying very least (63k) while for the same job, the US citizens were paid 75k+ that too with just bachelor's degree and some even with non technical degrees.
Employee - Engineer
Tries to take every possible advantage of a weak employee (not professionally struggling).
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
High tension--high turnover--micromanagement of employees--employees spied for company
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
Senior partner was a nightmare to work for
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
If you are from corporate or another Jacobs office you were good.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Love the work I did. But mgmt treated us poorly
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
The company seems to put a premium on billable positions. Support staff seem to be considered "Expendable". Leadership seems weak, this lead to different priorities, pursuit inefficiencies and bad brand management. Communication was poor between departments. Benefits are sub-par for a company of this size.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
The office I worked in was part of an acquisition with the majority of employees looking for other employment.
Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant
If you're not billable you're expendable.
Employee - Director
The company headquarters just located to Texas from California. The senior leadership and marketing team are in a state of flux and the stock has not been doing well for some time. Therefore, it is a stressful and uncertain work environment.
Employee - Director
Conservative, old fashioned work culture.
Employee - Director
It is very large and quite siloed, which can be a challenge when working in a cross-functional department. But if you're lucky enough to have a good boss like I did, it can be a great experience.
