Employee - Manager
Sweatshop in terms of work/life. Little to no ability to 'choose' industry/projects etc. Ridiculously smart colleagues - in general, much more horsepower than McK, Bain, BCG but with MUCH less attitude - employees are the real deal, well-rounded, personable. No room for egos
Employee - Manager
Underrated. All of the experience, analytical horsepower, etc. as the big-3 strategy firms, but without the pretense
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Management has zero interest in employee's work life balance, no real effort in developing and retaining people. Arrogant management
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Arrogant, opportunistic leadership
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Very hierarchical where everyone tries to please superior to get promoted. Everybody is a Yes man to their superior
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Second tier consultancy doing a lot of due diligence work in private equity
Employee
No work-life balance. Vicious work environment pushed top down
Employee
Uninspiring, individualistic
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Dreadful atmosphere. Cases are understaffed, people overworked and camaraderie non existent.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Horrible hours. Projects are too quick.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Smartest and most helpful people I've met. But the hours were horrible and the work was too difficult - didn't have time to develop skill set.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Strong. Prestigious. Smart, intellectual, sharp people that work hard and will go far in their career.
Employee - Manager
Unless one is especially interested in Life Sciences I would struggle to understand why someone would join L.E.K. The interview standards are as high as MBB, and one would certainly get an offer from Strategy& / AT Kearney. If you are interested in general consulting, I would choose one of those offers.
Employee - Manager
Passive aggressive communicators Self interested
Employee - Manager
The company runs a profit share, which makes sense if in good years and really doesn't in poor years. The main issue is the 401(k) and pension, which would be good for all years, is non-existent.
Employee - Manager
Excellence through Darwinian combat
Employee - Manager
People who know L.E.K. have respect for the quality of the work, if they think the approach is a bit over the top in terms of brutal workloads.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Sweatshop like work environment. Likely to burn people out and not give them a chance to prove themselves.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Cutthroat work culture.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Good firm that relies on data to get work done.
