Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Yes a solid organization but at times it's stuck in the past. It also is more of a male culture and women need to find a way to fit in.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

HR Managers and Hiring Managers should find more value in hiring prior employees. I continuallly followed up to no avail. My tenure at LM was 10 years with several honors and recognition.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Great foundation in claims handling

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

When I was there, the culture was hard working folks, learning and growing together

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Best thing to know before working here is the training they provide and preparing for the field.

Employee - Director

Stable, profitable, interesting work, many good people, many opportunities to advance.

Employee - Director

It can be cliquey. There are many smart people jockeying for advancement, and they try their best to align themselves with the power brokers. This can lead to some unseemly behavior and favoritism. Otherwise it is a very hard working, intelligent group as a whole; and people enjoy working together and collaborating for the most part

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

The company had a wonderful culture. However after receiving my MBA and gaining 10 years off higher level organization management experience I spent months attempting to return to LM.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Solid Foundation in Ridk Mgmt.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

I remember the time when Liberty insurance acquired Wausau insurance and how this acquisition impacted employees moral due to organizational restructuring.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Great company. Great opportunities

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

My teams were totally diverse. Upper Mgmt listened to our concerns and supported change in an environment when under a new CEO

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Opportunities for growth for all employees

Employee - Director

Liberty Mutual is the most well-run company that I have ever worked from. The management communicated company goals well and created accountabilities to execute against their annual plan. Even though the company was large, if you worked hard and had good ideas you could be entrepreneurial and move up quickly.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

The executives had an open door policy, they are open to hear grievances or proposals regarding work productivity and improvements.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

I worked in corporate environment and I was part of the finance team. The staff was very supportive and received friendly cooperation from other departmental employees as I had to interact with them.Liberty is a very will respected insurance company and serve giant customers such as ford and UPS. It is a very well structured company with policy and procedures manuals and standardized accounting systems and suburb financial models.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

It was a job not a solid career move.

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Well run company - set goals, put plans in place to work towards goals, put proper funding in place Large company - room for advancement Pay & bonuses generous Decent benefits Great lcoation

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

The company culture changed over the years. What was more collaborative has become more cut-throat. Also, in the past, there was more heterogeneity in senior leadership, which meant people in many functions were valued. Now, leadership is much more homogeneous (hyper-analytical), and therefore, people who are analytical are highly valued, and those who are less so feel de-valued.

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Great place to get experience, build some skills and have on your resume. Only plan to stay for a long time if you have the skills that senior leadership values and you are willing to say yes all the time to what leadership proposes - even if they ask for your opinion.
