Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
I would get rid of more of the old regime focused more on politics rather than the new focus of the customer.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Microsoft is focused on intercultural practices, the size and scale of everything (both internally and externally).
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The culture depends on the management team, but current focus is on innovating for the customer. Employees are able to flex schedules as needed, and the work is getting interesting with the cloud opportunities.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Too much politics here.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Collaborative work culture is encouraged.
Employee - Director
While the ability to work in a variety of roles is fantastic at my company, it is harder to move up quickly past a certain point.
Employee - Director
It is best to be very smart, be able to communicate effectively and crisply, be aware of relationships and complexities, and have a passion.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Changes are needed in middle management culture of dog-eat-dog.
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Be prepared to be terminated without compensation at any time, especially persons over 40. I personally know of over 20 people in this category who were forced out / terminated
Employee - Analyst / Associate
Supposedly a collaborative culture but prices are managed individually.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Would've suggeested changes to duplicity at the company when I was there.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Work culture depends on the team. It is extremely competitive, managers do a lot of favoritism and preference is given to Men or to favorites. Rating system was also not very transparent but with Connect hopefully things might have changed. It si difficult to move around within the company
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
They will overload you.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The calibration culture is still there.
Employee - Director
Culture is cutthroat. Aggressive, lots of internal fighting for resources and blame if something goes sideways. With a mentality of someone must lose and someone must win between employees makes it difficult to collaborate.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Needs to change the managers and leadership level.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Navigating is very difficult, there is a lot to learn but if you do not network , growth is not that easy here. You cannot make friends here as people are competing against each other for visibility, credit on a day to day basis. Not a friendly atmosphere
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Siloed work environments, very competitive, push colleagues under the bus for personal gain.
Employee - Director
It could be a very intense place to work.
Employee - Director
The management team is very clever to create a climate which encourages people to work, suggest it is equal and does not care about status, but when you look closer you can see that many managers do not know what they are doing, rely on people doing their work while management makes sure they cash in and keep privileges etc. Funny enogh they do manage to create a feeling of loyalty with employees.
