Employee - Manager
It has good brand recognition and is respected as an accounting firm
Employee - Manager
Public sector practice is a bit unfocused in terms of service delivery. On multiple projects PwC either did not have the required resources or management acumen to fully accomplish the task.
Employee - Manager
Leadership are seasoned veterans from the audit practice largely. This results in very clear strategy but very poor execution because most have not worked in the public sector area of expertise (again, this is largely the public sector or Wadhington Federal Practice, not the commercial practice)
Employee - Manager
PwC has an inside joke about how their benchmarks are misinterpreted to put them in high categories of compensation. Certain positions such as senior manager are not common in public sector advisory causing the director level and management levels to be over represented and under often under compensated.

I'm African American. We are very sparse at PwC

While the experience was deplorable 3 years in hell qualifies you for any war

Hard workers
Employee - Partner
At lower levels the firm is a great place to work, at higher levels the comp structure forces a competitive approach - not a true partnership at all.
Employee - Manager
Culture is friendly, go to attitude.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Culture is based on integrity, strategy, client-focus.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Great quality, professionals, top of the line.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Intelligent, strategic, but not good communicators.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Bonus structure is changing all the time and sometimes not transparent (talking about office in my country, can be different in other countries).
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Fun and interesting, but chaotic and often with sense of lost purpose.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Known to have good talent pool.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Visionary
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Firm is rapidly growing with strong leadership at the helm. Overall culture is open, inclusive, collaborative, supportive and flexible providing an environment where someone who enjoys this line of work can have a successful and sustainable career.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
I was impressed with how supportive the culture is to bridge people's personal and professional lives. I saw way more intact families with childcare/family life being a focal point at many 'water cooler' chats. Decisions such as jeans all the time dress code or the use of Google productivity/collaboration tools shows leadership is aware of how people wants to work and acts to enable that.
Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Of the big4, PwC has made great strides in recent years to bridge the gap with Deloitte, however has significant gaps to bridge in order to be a big 4 leader. Of top tier strategy shops, PwC lacks the reputation to play in that space. Even with the acquisition of Strategy&, there is limited ability to charge premiums in the Canadian market.

Great training and on boarding
