It was a "fun place to work". There was a semblance of work-life balance (compared with other Firms in Lagos at the time- Big4). As a mother I could take time of work (unpaid), if I needed to, for family. We had the option of extended maternity leave. There was the option of gap years, to do something entirely new and away from the Firm, whilst having your job intact. etc.

It was a fun place to work. We worked hard and played hard too. Had inspiring colleagues, all intelligent people with forthright communication skills, who challenged themselves to do and be better. Feedback was 360 degrees and continuous, so I could clearly see my areas for improvement and take necessary steps to address them.

While I think they are a decent firm to work for and would recommend them, it is kind of like recommending which brand of hammer to use to hit yourself in the head. The politics can be daunting to struggle with, but the pay and benefits can go a long way to compensate for the BS you have to put up with at the firm.
