Employee - Vice President

Rbc employees are generally nice and less competitive for one of the top investment banks. They foster comraderie within the organization and there are many fun events. The location of the office is very good.

Employee - Associate

Just a very poor place to work. Low pay/poor benefit package and the list goes on.

Employee - Associate

They ran it like a dictatorship. RBC would spend big money on trips/meetings, but would not pay it's people competitively. If you like staying at the Carlton Ritz and flying first class and being underpaid, you might like the organization.

Employee - Senior Vice President

Needs a change in management

Employee - Senior Vice President

It used to be friendly and collaborative environment but has changed into one where the leadership is unable to adapt to changes and an extremely political environment

Employee - Group Managing Director and/or Partner

This bank's center of gravity and all decisioning is done in Toronto and by Canadians. Always. And for everything.

Employee - Group Managing Director and/or Partner

If you are not Canadian you wil not advance beyond where you arrived at the firm.

Employee - Group Managing Director and/or Partner

Thick Canadian culture. No conflict is tolerated. Issues are not addressed in the open. Canadian and RBC way (from Canda) is viewed and implemented as the best way regardless of which country it is doing business in.

Employee - Analyst

Needs to treat your US employees as you treat your Canadian employees

Employee - Analyst

If you work in the US you will not be adequately communicated with, you will not be involved in decision making and you will be starved of critical resources. decisions are made in a (Canadian) vacuum with little or no consultation with US stakeholders...it is a Canadian dictatorship and it is crippled by croneyism/favoritism. there are way too many fiefdoms and politics

Employee - Analyst

Preferential treatment is given to Canadian employees, the US division is treated like a "Red Headed Stepchild"

Employee - Vice President

Associates see little room for promotion and there is no vision

Employee - Vice President

Unfortortunately, the culture of mediocrity stifles the research department at this company.

Employee - Vice President

Culture is very gossipy and many dinosaur analysts are just clinging onto failing franchises

Employee - Managing Director

Needs new leadership
