Competition and Cooperation in the Workplace

August 20, 2020

Competition and Cooperation in the Workplace

Competition is inherent in organizational life and, in light of advancing technology, it is infiltrating the modern workplace more than ever before. Whether it is competition between firms, groups, or employees, people care a great deal about how they stack up to others. Through integrating scholarly research and reflecting on organizational examples and case studies, the goal of this webinar is to advance your understanding of how hierarchies and status shape individuals’ experiences and behaviors within organizations.

In this webinar, we will:

  • Unpack the positive and negative outcomes that predictably emerge within hierarchical and contested environments
  • Detail some of the factors that may aid organizational efforts to maximize the beneficial, and minimize the dysfunctional, outcomes associated with these hierarchical environments.
  • Discuss how we can look ahead as COVID-19 continues to impact the way we communicate
