Dr. LaKami Baker, associate professor in the Department of Management, is managing director of the Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship. She teaches strategic management and entrepreneurship courses at Auburn.
Dr. Baker has published in top journals such as Academy of Management Journal, The Leadership Quarterly and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and has served as a reviewer for the Journal of Management and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. Dr. Baker also spent 11 years as an engineer and product marketer with 3M. She is a member of the Academy of Management, Strategic Management Society, Southern Management Association and the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Dr. Brian L. Connelly is Luck Eminent Scholar in the Department of Management. He teaches strategic management and international business to undergraduates and master’s students and is also involved in teaching and mentoring in the PhD program.
Professor Connelly's research explores how corporate governance structures, such as shareholders and boards, affect strategic outcomes and competition among firms. He is associate editor at the Academy of Management Journal and has published in journals such as the Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies. He also has 20 years of experience in engineering and international business with Westinghouse and Hughes Network Systems.
Wilson Professor, Department of Aviation
Dr. Brian Gibson is Wilson Family Professor in the Department of Aviation and Supply Chain Management. He teaches logistics and supply chain management courses in Auburn's undergraduate, graduate and distance learning programs.
Dr. Gibson is the recipient of multiple Harbert College of Business awards and has co-authored numerous articles in publications such as International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications, International Journal of Logistics Management, Journal of Business Logistics, and Supply Chain Management Review. He also serves as an editorial review board member or reviewer for five publications.
Dr. Gibson participates in executive education, corporate training, and consulting projects and has participated in the development and delivery of training programs for organizations such as IKEA, Ryder Integrated Logistics, Saturn, Transfreight, Unilever, and WC Bradley. that achieve business objectives while supporting employee autonomy and well-being.
