Ravi Madhavan is a Professor of Business Administration and the Alcoa Foundation International Faculty Fellow at the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. He earned his PhD in strategic management at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996, and joined the Katz faculty in 2001 after serving on the faculty at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign from 1995-2001. Prior to getting his PhD, he spent eight years as a manager in the information technology industry, gaining experience in consulting, executive education, and marketing. His research and teaching interests focus on the Recombinant Enterprise in a Networked World: Alliances, M&A and Networks as drivers of enterprise evolution. He has published several studies of how such enterprise recombination reshapes the global competitive context. Michael Donohoe teaches executive management courses in Information Systems, Operations Management, IT Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Information & Communications Technology (ICT) Acquisition, and Cybersecurity Risk Management. He has also recently developed courses for masters and executive education electives in Strategic Cybersecurity in Business, Information Systems Planning, and Global Supply Chain Management. Donohoe is an experienced information technology executive with more than 35 years of experience in business, academic, and military leadership roles. During his career, he was responsible for leading information technology support service organizations to meet the strategic needs of his business and military customers. Kenneth Lehn is the Samuel A. McCullough Professor of Finance in the Katz Graduate School of Business, where he teaches courses on business valuation and corporate restructuring. He is also an adjunct professor of law in the School of Law at the University of Pittsburgh. He joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh in 1991 after serving as chief economist of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for four years. Lehn’s research focuses on topics in corporate finance, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and capital structure. Additionally, he has written on topics relating to the economics of professional sports and has been published in leading academic journals, including The Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Political Economy, American Economic Review, and Journal of Law and Economics.
