A required weeklong Global Business Assignment. Previous classes traveled to countries such as Dubai, The Republic of China, Argentina, South Africa and the Russian Federation.

Professor David P. Myatt (BSc (LSE), DPhil (Oxford & Nuffield College)) focuses his academic research on the tools of game theory (the scientific analysis of strategic decision-making) applied to diverse settings, including business strategy; macroeconomic coordination; and political science.
His teaching has ranged across the full portfolio of London Business School programmes. He teaches core subjects of these programmes including: tools for output choice, pricing, and market segmentation – in markets where businesses seek to successfully exploit their market power – and the development of game theory tools for use in a variety of strategic decision-making situations.
Professor Myatt’s academic research papers have been published in the top economics and political science academic journals. He has been Editor of the Economic Journal for the Royal Economic Society and is currently Co-Editor of the Quarterly Journal of Political Science and Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Theory.In his consulting activities, he has advised a broad variety of clients on competition policy, auction strategy, business organisation and various aspects of the regulatory environment.
Professor of Marketing; Chair, Marketing Faculty
Professor Naufel J. Vilcassim (MBA (Texas) PhD (Cornell)) is an expert on the use of economic theory and econometric techniques to analyze substantive marketing problems. He has focused his research on problems in the areas of the marketing mix, competitive interactions and market structure, pricing and price promotion, marketing channels, measurement of market response to investments in advertising and other marketing mix elements, and household choice behavior. Currently, he is undertaking research that examines the role of managerial capital and access to business information tools in enhancing the business performance among growth-oriented microentrepreneurs in Africa (Uganda and Rwanda).
He has published extensively in leading research journals such as Marketing Science, Management Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Econometrics, Quantitative Marketing and Economics, International Journal for Research in Marketing, and Journal of Retailing, among others.
At London Business School, he has held several administrative posts including, Deputy Dean (Faculty), Marketing Subject Area Chair, Academic Director of the Aditya Birla India Centre and Faculty Director of the Dubai Executive MBA Program, among others. Professor Vilcassim was an Associate Editor for Management Science and has served on the editorial boards of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Research, Quantitative Marketing and Economics and the International Journal of Research in Marketing and the Asian Journal of Marketing.
Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship
Dr Gary Dushnitsky (BA and MSc (Tel Aviv), PhD (New York)) focuses his work on the economics of entrepreneurship and innovation. He explores the shifting landscape of entrepreneurial finance, exploring such topics as corporate venture capital, crowdfunding and angel investors. His research has appeared in leading academic journals, including Organization Science, the Strategic Management Journal and Nature Biotechnology.
He is an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Academic Director of the Deloitte Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London Business School. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Mack Center for Technological Innovation at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dushnitsky has received several academic distinctions, including the 2013 SMS Emerging Scholar Award, the 2009 Kauffmann Junior Faculty Fellowship and several best dissertation prizes. He serves as a senior editor at Organization Science and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and is an elected officer of the international Strategic Management Society.
He advises corporations in the high-tech, food, clean technology and pharmaceutical sectors on a host of corporate venturing issues, and has been involved in several industry reports, as well as keynotes and panels such as the YPO, World Economic Forum, OECD, EVCA, BVCA and others. His studies have been covered in the business media, including Businessweek, Dow Jones News, Entrepreneur magazine and the Financial Times.
