Miami Herbert looks at an applicant file holistically; however, with the Global EMBA program, the evaluation of a candidate’s professional experience is paramount. This program is a good fit for seasoned entrepreneurs building businesses or proven senior-level leaders who have shown advancement or have the potential to advance in their career. Individuals seek Miami Herbert Business School because they recognize that they have become subject matter experts in their functional area of business but now need the breadth in other areas to either validate their intuition or open their minds to other ways of conducting business.

BusinessCAS hosts Miami Herbert’s electronic application. Visit BusinessCAS and read all instructions carefully to complete the online application. The application fee is $48. You will be required to submit a resume, all transcripts from all institutions attended, a letter of recommendation, statement of purpose and an interview. Other requirements apply to international applicants. Please refer to the instructions on the “Program Materials” quadrant on the online application to verify all materials required for submission. Upload or mail all documents within the BusinessCAS portal or to BusinessCAS directly via mail.

From the date we receive your application and supporting documents, it takes 1-2 weeks for the interview to be scheduled. After the interview is conducted, it takes 1-2 weeks for the admission’s committee to return a decision.

This program is eligible for the F-1 student visa. However, students are only able to enter the US for the residency/class dates and have a 3-day window to return to their home country. Global EMBA program is a hybrid program with both online and on-campus classes and coursework. Hybrid programs are not eligible for OPT/CPT.

Federal loans are available for US residents and US citizens. We encourage applicants to apply for Financial Aid at the same time that they are applying to our program. Visit FAFSA for information on federals loans. Miami Herbert does allow corporate sponsors to engage in 3rd party billing. The sponsoring company would need to write a letter of financial responsibility on letterhead with the sponsorship amount. Other requirements may apply as well as the approval and clearance of Miami Herbert’s budget office and the University of Miami’s Student Financials office.
