Employee - Vice President

Culture depends on he department and the team. My equity team is up and coming so our morale is high but not 10 paces away is a miserable team. So it's hard to say something other than "mixed" overall

Employee - Vice President

It's a large corporation so there is sometimes dumb red tape. And it's sometimes frustrating that earnings (personally and at the bank) are impacted by stupid settlements from years past. But hopefully we are beginning to turn a corner

Employee - Vice President

Would have said a better strategic direction if asked several months ago but I like Jes Staley and his action plan. Obviously greater compensation would be better but at least part of it is at the whim of the market. One thing that bothers me is that it's still tough to get titular promotions at the higher levels because a lot of people were made Director/MD in the past and I think managements view is that there are "too many" so the backlog of those deserving it is getting larger every year

Employee - Managing Director

Cut back on bureaucracy and go back to basic and common sense to mitigate risk and adopt ethical behavior at all levels

Employee - Associate

Preferred to us minimal resources and to get maximum output.

Employee - Associate

If given the chance, I would change my manager, and group dynamics but not much else

Employee - Senior Vice President

Their needs to be a system in place where everyone can see what the bigger picture is, with his in mind it would create more harmony across the asset sectors and investing opportunities.

Employee - Senior Vice President

Employee - Senior Vice President

Culture is traditional old English style

Pros: probably the best balance of deal flow and reasonable hours in the Valley Cons: bank is a mess at the senior leadership level; few opportunities to lead manage the truly market-leading transactions; lots of credit memos on debt deals as a co-manager
