Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Great company, but they were in a transitional period and I had three different direct bosses in only a year. They last one I work with admitted his was a control freak. I feel the company is great, but the company would be better off without my last boss there.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

I was in a remote office with a bad boss. I think it's a good company.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Good company, bad boss.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Generall professional attitude toward employees

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

When project assignment was completed, I was lied to about continuity.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

It is a typical engineering company in that employment is contingent on the company's project workload, and I was mislead about future opportuniities upon completion of the contract to which I was assigned.

Employee - Assistant / Coordinator

Good Family, Every boss honors

Employee - Assistant / Coordinator

Good Experience, actually should be Experience

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

It is filled with politics and they want to make sure they "look the part" but I feel it is smoke and mirrors. They could do so much more to be a great company. People come to B&V to learn then go work for AECOM etc...

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

Play the game and you will go far. They love "Yes Men" at the top and want everybody to play nice. It is a great place if you are a vanilla kind of person. They will have people here for years and years and we would hear the executives congratulate each other but I never heard them thank the people who were in these countries doing the actual work.....sad realization

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Very large and bureaucratic. Lots of old school management from traditional backgrounds. It has been more than 15 years since I worked there so it might have changed.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

It varies by division. The Power division was very dependent on projects and market strength. The management consulting group was in the process of changing. When I was there the largest number of staff was focused narrowly on water rates. Strong focus on billability in a way that did not encourage collaboration.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

I believe the experience is very closely correlated to the location and local management. Although, I understand that telecommuting is more accepted for utility management consulting, during my tenure the office manager has a substantial influence on office culture and attitude.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Interesting projects depending on team. Good benefits.

Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)

I think it is a good company to gain knowledge and experience with

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

This may be a good company for Engineers, but not so good for consultants.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Very authoritarian work culture.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

Keep your head down and don't make waves.

Employee - Analyst / Associate / Consultant

As an employee, you are treated with disrespect, often thrown under the bus for something you dud not do, bullied and harassed by more seasoned employees. Plus you are often asked to work unbelievable hours because your colleagues do not meet their deadlines.
