Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
Much better for a younger person working directly for a client. Not very good for an experienced HR professional. Most often the leading HR personnel have less skills, but more time with the company

Draconian
Employee - Manager
Booz Allen Hamilton is no longer a consulting firm. It is a talent holding company focused on placement of staff on Government contracts.
Employee - Manager
Very focused on billables and quarterly earnings. There was a ceiling to professional growth if you weren't running a large team on a specific contract.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
The firm has really seen a downgrade in quality with regards to the type of consulting engagements and projects available for employees. A lot of the contracts are staff augmentation engagements and unengaging especially for people looking for a challenging and rewarding experience. Because the organization is so large and has been around for over 100 years change and updating systems and processes and ways of working are very difficyly. The organization is not agile and is really struggling to shift with current trends and the needs of the Milenial generation. There's a lot of politicking and red tape at Booz -- very much mirroring of the federal government.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Culture is large, old, and stodgy. I think there are attempts that have been made to "relax" and modernize the culture but it's a long way from being a great place young people want to work.

I think Booz Allen still has a good reputation among people outside of the government sector. Within the government sector I'm not sure.
