Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

A reputable consulting firm that helps government agencies to solve difficult problems.

Employee - Principal/VP/Director

Excellent firm to learn and grow your consulting experience

Employee - Principal/VP/Director

demand the utmost from their team

Employee - Principal/VP/Director

up or out

Employee - Associate/Consultant

Top-heavy, highly political, benefit cuts, butts-in-the-seats mentality on federal contracts. Has become a contracting house, not a consulting firm.

Employee - Associate/Consultant

Driven by Wall Street.

Employee - Associate/Consultant

Low compensation for IT jobs.

Employee - Manager

The company evolved from a traditional management consulting firm into what amounts to a staff augmentation company for the federal government. Clients are typically federal employees, and as such have little to no "skin in the game" - they can't get fired and aren't usually held accountable for performance.

Employee - Manager

Not bad people, but made a terrible decision (in the long-term) in 2008 to spin off their commercial wing. Now they are essentially a temp agency for the federal government.

Employee - Manager

Salaries are coming down for low-mid level staff. The good old days are long since over.

Employee - Manager

At least in Middle East, they don't really have a reputation.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

international team is bloated, isn't pulling in revenue, and brought on 12 vice presidents from the old booz and co. All they brought to the table was bad reputations that is costing our Arabian Gulf a fortune.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

out of touch and concerned only with their salaries

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

in the Gulf region our people delivering onsite are keeping the reputation of a 100+ year old company that its overpriced regional leadership is steadily destroying

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Booz Allen is focused on profit, not on people. During my time, utilization was based on team performance. They shifted to a personal utilization. Partners are focused on thier own profit, not on the people

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Self interested in thier own profit and money. CEO makes over $25Million a year. This is a government contracting company. Booz Allen often plays a shell game with resumes -- often bidding highly qualified, high priced talent, and replacing with often unqualified personnel

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Partners take most of the profit. Need to be a senior associate or above to do profit share. Profit is a %of salary. If you are a lower salaried manager vs. your peers, your bonus is less even though your performance was better

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Booz Allen overemphasized diversity. They went way overboard to recruit folks based on gender, race, at the expense of talent

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Good market presence --- bumper stickers about diversity, but zero marketing based on performance

Employee - Manager

The company's realignment to fit into a short-term profit motif has caused significant loss of morale and work alignment focus for the employees. Bottom line profit goals are wreaking havoc and turnover is astronomical.
