Employee - Manager
Smart - knows the profit bottom line and will aggressively meet stockholder demands. Employees are a commodity. In one door out the next. Integrity and expertise is not required, however salary requirements meeting bottom line operations are. Government expectations are at an all time low, so we will emulate that framework. The company does not build employee structures to ensure team collaboration, having the expectation that individuals will have the flexibility to develop the capacity to respond to answer the client demands regardless if corporate support is available.
Employee - Manager
Non-employees having been asked by Booz Allen to support an upcoming RFP from the government with their resume (i.e., using your resume/expertise for a proposed procurement) can expect to be low-balled if the proposal is won, "the "gov't" wants to know if you are will to take a lesser salary for this position" vs BAH willing to take less of a profit to ensure quality employee selection
Employee - Manager
Telecommuting is expected in many areas due to the fact that Booz eliminated offices an office spaces for employees. Many employees are truly left on their own. Flex time is available, due to the fact that little office operations are available, you work when they require your services to include evenings and weekends. That is truly flexible.
Employee - Manager
Leadership is profit centric and will ensure they maintain their specific ROI's regardless of employee's personal situations. If it looks good or appears to present the public show of the day, Booz will showcase it.
Employee - Manager
That was the way it used to be, but no longer. The image Booz has among contemporary government clients/customers is now below average against their competitors

No work life balance. No movement. No growth.

The company has changed a lot since going public, and the whole Edward Snowden issue.
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
overwork is expected. Very little reliability to keep you job if a contract ends
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
The teamsizes have grown so a promotion carries a much greater cost than before
Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant
It used to be a white shoe consulting firm; but now it is another low cost provider. Much harder to grow a career there than before

I would not recommend BAH to my friends and peers, but I would recommend it to people right out of college.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Hierarchical; demanding; decent leaders but poor managers

When I was there, base compensation was competitive, but there was no bonus. Contributions to 401K were generous.
Employee - Associate/Consultant
Competitive at senior levels. More collaborative at lower levels.
