I worked on a onsite bank's project via Capgemini Singapore as my contractor for the bank. -Poor admin and HR with absolute no follow - up on your requests - Contract staff is treated as mere 'incoming cashflow' account - Higher margins compareed to other consultancy firms that make the contract staff expensive in the eyes of client - Poor handling of clients by the account manager.. Rather there isn't any on site account manager - They call themselves as a resource partners but they are nothing but body shoppers. - No career growth plan for employee - Don't have many clients neither they do have any projects in Singapore - Poor medical benefits *

Former Employee - Manager
Poor management where vision is changing on yearly basis. No continuation in regards to strategy, new managers simply implement their own vision without listening to the people who are working in the company for years.

Despite its internal issues, the company is large and has not significantly damaged its reputation.

Capgemini was trying to be like the larger players but the approach was closer to a pure play offshore firm. Politics and cliques were more important than talent. Some good talent at the lower levels (Consultants & Senior Consultants) but higher levels can only be successful if you are part of a clique. A lot of control is exercised from France (company HQ) and all major decisions are made there. Strategy and leadership in NA keeps changing, so a sense of consistency is missing.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Too much internal fragmentation and frequent change of focus

Former Employee - Manager
People still think of Cap as a technology only consulting firm, but the work I and my team did was operational and strategic. Had difficulty in gaining market share because that was not consistent with how clients perceived us.

Former Employee - Manager
Too many many direction changes for management consulting... don't know what they want to be.

It varies. Good engagement teams produce good work. Poor teams/leadership don't achieve customer satisfaction.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Very cliquey. Very much a "who you know" environment.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director
Limited intellectual property (i.e., methods and procedures); as such, relies on expertise of engagement leadership rather than robust structure for delivery.

Capgemini Canada FS had a very poor culture, inherited from iGate.
