Capgemini overall is a good company, but it's Financial Services (FS) arm is pathetic, especially after the reorganization. Capgemini Canada FS is the worst organization under poor leadership.

"Results matter, people count" The slogan was never followed in my 2 years in Cap. People were seen as resources, and the only concern was billability. Extremely difficult to make VP - it was certainly a case of not crossing every one with an input to the decision. The other major division is between Indian managers (ex-iGate) and Capgemini's French culture. The IGate managers seem bent on turning the firm into a TCS-like global delivery machine; whereas the French managers refuse to give work to India and try to keep things in-house and local. There is a huge (deliberate?) tension between these 2 sets of managers and viewpoints

Full of dinosaurs with little understanding of, and relevance to the market. Any place where people have spent their entire career of 25 years, and have just done the same thing for 25 years is not healthy. Little diversity, with French, 50 something males dominating the upper echelons. Huge amount of energy spent on internal politics - full of snakes. Little coherent market strategy.
