Among consultants : they are known to not reward or compensate very well.

Capgemini has a culture where employees get the job done for the client, even though they know they won't get paid well.

Former Employee - Principal/VP/Director

Capgemini is a good place to learn a consulting trade. It is a good place to grow.

Employee - Manager

Company will lay people off even if they are making their targets

Employee

Capgemini's market reputation is better than it should be.

Employee

Not collaborative & lots of in-fighting - different teams aggressively competing against each other to win deals. Lack of global strategic vision and a short term focus.

Employee

Very good flexible benefits arrangement. Base salary was competitive.

Employee

Amateur. Lack of strategic vision. Not collaborative. Uncultured.

Employee

Unstructured environment and lack of a global focus and operating model compared to my previous firm Accenture. While an unstructured environment can be good sometimes, (where it can help to foster innovation/quick decision making) this didn't apply to Capgemini unfortunately - instead it was a pretty chaotic environment with different Capgemini teams often aggressively competing against each other to secure revenue and clients for their domains.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

Unfortunately perceived as technology consulting, but has a good management consulting practice which is well known in Europe but not so much in the US. Consumers perceive Capgemini as collaborative consulting, competent and with good culture.
