But it depends. If you're willing to give all of your time to the job, it's a great learning and networking opportunity with interesting and challenging work. However, I noticed that as people moved up in the company, their work-life balance got even worse. I was already working all hours of the night and weekends...I couldn't imagine how one could possibly dedicate more time to the job. There are great people and I learned a lot, and I'm sure it's different in each office and business unit, but it just wasn't the place for me long term. I value having balance.

I have recommended several friends and former co workers, that have been hired. Consulting requires a specific type of individual, life time learner, genuinely in helping people achieve their companies goals, people who listen. This company provides a venue for individuals who are always striving to be better, to learn and explore it supports with education, training and opportunities

Only the starting salaries are competitive. There is lack of Year-on-year growth (above inflation). Cannot compare with other consulting firms, but Bonuses here are delayed (Mar 1) comparing with 5 other employers I have worked with.

Leadership team needs true Leaders, not just Managers who are trying to measure each Associates growth and contribution in numbers. The Volume of deals made matters, but there should be a vision to rise up the value-chain among existing Client accounts.

This is my subjective opinion, working as a Lead Consultant, with an MBA and previous Strategic/General Management experience. The company and its service lines and Clientele targeted offers limited Strategy or Operations Consulting experience. Capgemini is a good recruiter for Consultants with Industry-specific IT Implementation focus. The company offers good job stability, higher starting pay and full range of benefits. Downsides include low Year-on-year Pay Growth, No carryover of vacation days, lack of Mentorship and Leadership outside of the Sales function.

Knowledgeable, capable, and very good at setting direction.

The compensation seemed to be nationally-based. So I consulted in Kansas City would receive similar compensation to consultants elsewhere.

Other team members were always willing to help. They were personable and professional yet driven.
