At CGI, our people come first. We call our employees “members” to reinforce that all who join our team are empowered to share in the rewards that come from building a world-class business. As one of the largest, independent, fastest growing IT and business process service firms in the world, we realize our continued success depends on our ability to attract, retain, and engage top-quality professionals. To that end, we offer a rewarding work environment with a myriad of opportunities to learn and grow through a wealth of easily available tools and resources. We encourage and empower our members to become experts in the technology and business of our target industries. At CGI, we ensure that our practices embrace and advocate diversity at all levels and we offer a robust benefits package that includes health and wellness events and incentives, competitive vacation and leave plans, member discount programs, community involvement and social opportunities. While most companies have a vision and mission, CGI goes a step beyond. We have a company dream: To create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of. When people join CGI, they aren’t just joining another company – they are becoming part of the CGI family.

Our purpose is simple: to create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of. This purpose is weaved into our CGI culture, which is comprised of both office-based and remote members. In all we do, we foster a culture of partnership, intrapreneurship, teamwork and integrity, building a global world class information technology and business process services company. Our professional culture is highlighted in across all relationships, corporate programs and leadership teams. At CGI, our people come first. We call our employees members to reinforce that all who join our team are a collaborative team of owners empowered to drive the business and share in the rewards that come from building a world-class business. Our members are given a say in the management of CGI through the processes outlined within the Member Partner Management Framework (MPMF). The framework was founded on a simple and original idea we call the CGI dream: “To create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of.” To measure the success of the MPMF, we operate a measurement program that we believe is unique in the industry. While many companies conduct anonymous employee satisfaction surveys, our experience is that this alone loses the quality dialogue of a small company. Therefore, we have established a practice where members interact with managers and conduct “their performance review of the company” before taking CGI’s member satisfaction survey, called the Member Satisfaction Assessment Program (MSAP). Our members stay regularly connected with management and are involved in the decision-making processes. They communicate with management through quarterly Town Hall meetings and our Annual Tour, a tradition that dates back to our founding in 1976. The Annual Tour is an annual event that brings together leaders and members to launch our business plans. It is also the ideal opportunity for members, as owners, to discuss the company’s performance and priorities for the coming year. Roughly 80% of our members are CGI shareholders, which reflects how these beliefs and processes impact CGI members to share in the life of the company and be a part of the company’s success and future growth. Members can also virtually communicate and network with leadership and peers via CynerGI, CGI’s intranet and social media platform. CynerGI serves as the single knowledge platform for communication and collaboration among all global CGI members, and enables members to access company updates, participate in online affinity groups, and discussion boards. CGI is committed to strengthening the health and wellness of all members by encouraging the adoption of behaviors that foster the same. With the support of the CGI Executive team, it has established a global health and wellness program named Oxygen. Oxygen is part of the HR team and is made up of a multidisciplinary team of health experts who support our employees in their efforts to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle. The program is at the forefront of best practices in the field of workplace health and wellness. Oxygen aims to: • increase member engagement in a healthier lifestyle • improve the overall health and wellness of members • improve the retention and engagement of members The Oxygen program provides global, national and local activities and services designed to help employees better understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and to take steps toward improving their health and well-being. Also, CGI leaders value member mobility and professional development. To support members’ career mobility and learning goals, CGI’s internal Workforce Management group helps members find new internal opportunities when they are ready for a new assignment. CGI encourages members to develop Personal Development Plans to formalize professional goals, and reinforce learning through experiential, formal, social and digital learning. CGI offers a range of onsite and online technical and business training classes. All members have access to eLearning sources. Through a formal tuition assistance program, members can apply to receive up to $5,250 per year toward degree program expenses for completed classes. Members can receive reimbursement for professional certification expenses. Through a U.S. Member 2 Member L&D program, members train others on various areas of technical and business expertise. To support social and digital learning, CGI offers formal and informal mentoring programs, as well as affinity groups, including a Women’s Forum and specialized technology groups. To support networking, CGI reimburses members for membership with professional associations. CGI’s culture of transparency, learning, mobility and career advancement is among the best in the business and a culture in which we are very proud. Our dedicated health and wellness program reinforces our positive environment and supports the well-being, retention and engagement of our members. While most companies have a vision and mission, CGI goes a step beyond. We have a company dream: To create an environment in which we enjoy working together and, as owners, contribute to building a company we can be proud of. When people join CGI, they aren’t just joining another company – they are becoming part of the CGI family.

CGI has a reputation for consistently delivering high quality, on-time services and products. Founded in 1976, CGI is one of the largest IT and business process services providers in the world. We combine innovative services and solutions with a disciplined delivery approach that has resulted in an industry-leading track record of delivering 95% of projects on time and within budget. Our global reach, combined with our proximity model of serving clients from 400 locations worldwide, provides the scale and immediacy required to rapidly respond to client needs. Our business consulting, systems integration and managed services help clients leverage current investments while adopting technology and business strategies that achieve top and bottom line results. As a demonstration of our commitment, our client satisfaction score consistently measures 9 out of 10. Some of our Federal clients include the following agencies: • Centers for Medicare & Medicaid • Department of Defense • Department of Health & Human Services • Department of Homeland Security • Department of State • Environmental Protection Agency • NASA CGI operates via a unique client proximity business model, which organizes our operations around local offices, allowing us to be deeply rooted within our clients’ business communities and highly accountable for client success. Our business units (BUs) are also given the authority to best meet their members (our term for employees) needs. Therefore, members benefit from CGI’s company-wide culture and resources, which are then localized in a manner that best fits within their business context. We combine this local model with CGI’s global delivery options, which offer clients the value of remote delivery through onshore, near shore and offshore centers of expertise. In the U.S., these onshore delivery centers serve as a particular point of differentiation for CGI. They allow clients the option to access the cost advantages of remote delivery while also keeping their intellectual property within the U.S., which benefits our members as well, as we are committed to protecting and growing U.S. jobs.

For long term career, CGI has very limited options for the employees.

The talked speech is different than the action, also the company is taking affirmative action to promote minorities and colored people in management positions.

Employee - Manager / Senior Manager

The culture of CGI is stress filled with unrelenting anxiety experienced by the various SME's. CGI consistently lays off senior employees that understand the processes involved and the technical environment and replaces them with junior individuals whom, for the most part, are entering into the work-force. CGI offers no internal training or mentor-ship programs which results in green employees being thrust into a complex technical environment, having to learn this environment while supporting production. The pay and bonus structure is well below the industry standard with the only redeeming factor being the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the nation.
