Former Employee
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Focused, environment was acceptable, it is an important player in the market and is recognized as such. Salary was not bad.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
My division which no longer exists, had a good culture. Company had silos so I cannot tell if culture was good across the board
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Our division accomplished a lot. The company overall is a leader and well recognized.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
It is a stable company that has recovered from its bankruptcy. The compensation is better than average and the work environment is acceptable.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
It was a mixed bag when I was there. There was the old CIT culture and the cultures from Newcourt Credit Group and all of its prior acquisitions. So, there were some departments that were " old school" and did things in a very structured way and others that were less so. The old schoolers looked down on the progressives and vice versa.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
It is a changing company. The CEO is generally regarded as a short-timer and so the future is unclear. The company is heavily regulated and it takes a long time to get things done. That said, it is stable and remains a leader in its space.
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
Upbeat, sort of diverse. Innovative, not rigid, and conforming.
Employee - Assistant / Coordinator
There are many areas of finance to explore.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
If you are looking for a very precise work environment, Amex and/or CIT is for you. If you are looking for a more creative environment, keep looking.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Very professional and well organized, rewards performers, opportunities for advancement. Can be "clubby" at times.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Too "clubby" and too much of a credit / operations vs. sales dynamic.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
CIT is an established finance company that has evolved into a major owner of banks and investment companies. CIT's core strength is its ability to take on a manageable risk and prosper.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
If you produce and add value you will succeed.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
At the time that I was employed at CIT Group, management was open to communication from subordinates to improve company service and development of new products.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Leadership doesn't support management, managers back stab each other, hourly employees try to do as little work as possible without getting written up. This company is a mess from top to bottom.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
No support for management, no career path.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
There is no career at this company, just a job. The company does not value its employees.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Worked there 9 years ago, didn't care for the culture (sleepy), or the people. Leadership was sorely lacking, though leadership has turned over since then.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
Again, 9 years ago, but the company was very uncooperative between groups. People were generally lazy, bullheaded, only cared about their own silo. People weren't rude, but indifferent.
Employee - Vice President (VP, SVP, EVP, etc.)
It's not going to help or hurt your resume.
