this firm invests into its people wellbeing and professional development. i know almost no-one among my former colleagues who can say they don't love citi after they left it. almost every former citi employee i know says its the best firm he/she had ever worked for. personally do love the firm and would happily work again for it.

Culture is not ownership, responsible, entrepreneurial driven.

Frustratingly slow ti get suff done and decisions are painfully to come by with senior and middle management.
Employee - Senior Vice President
Weak culture. Most people do not take responsibility. Repeatable phrase is not my job.
Employee - Vice President
Expect to work long hours without being compensated for it. Department directors and managers need training on how to deal with their employees.

staff is too snobbish at times

Certain investment banking groups at the firm have very difficult cultures

Organisation is not meritocratic and doesn't have robust mechanism and ways to care for people. I would compare this with more people centric organisations such as Google, Facebook etc.- the present world companies. Its no more lucrative to work in this space as the internet of things is becoming more dominant in the current world. There is not role HR team plays in the entire org, they are more like silent observers, which has to change fundamentally.

Most important thing to know is whom are you going to work with. very dependent on line hierarchy for your success.
Employee - Senior Vice President
Advancement is restricted, salary raises and bonuses of non-client facing positions are insignificant.

Many good people work here. Management in often ill-prepared to assume the role they were appointed to.

It's soulless. Too many hours and too much effort. Does not worth it. Zero life balance, only work.

I worked in the Latam group and people were nice and collaborative. Latins are more open than US people

Hours worked need to be less
