Employee - Manager
Many benefits being cut as the employees are taking the brunt of massive cost-cutting measures from fewer holidays to required leave in December, using accumulated leave.
Employee - Manager
Cost cutting at employees' expense.
Employee - Manager
Forced curve in one year to diluted rewards the next. Random, based on shareholder requirements.
Employee - Manager
Even among government-centric consultancies, they aren't even a Tier 3 (bronze) as rated by government clients.
Employee - Director
There is no loyalty to employees.
Employee - Director
Has layoffs weekly. Remaining workers over burdened.
Employee - Principal / Managing Director / General Manager
CSC was already in cost reduction mode (no growth opportunities for employees, managing by spreadsheets, etc.). They're focused on purely the share price for stockholders - which isn't necessarily wrong, but bad for employee careers.
Employee - Principal / Managing Director / General Manager
Does both Consulting and Systems Integration -- might as well be two different companies.
Employee - Principal / Managing Director / General Manager
Collection of Small Companies (We joked it was a play off of the CSC acronym). You might find pockets of FANTASTIC people, but overall, meh.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Changes I'd suggest would be to stop the layoffs and offshoring, and actually selling computer science capabilities instead of promoting non-existent offerings (their latest effort). I would not be dissolving this company, which is what the current president is doing.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The work I did, the topics I learned, the experience I gained I am proud of. I am not proud of a company that does not know where it is going, and changes directions so drastically that 50 to 60 percent of US employees are laid-off. Most new employees are off shore. Any US new employees are at risk the day they are employed.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Good people worried that their job will be eliminated next. I personally had to lay off over 8 people, was laid off 3 times and almost 5 other times in 17 years. My manager was laid off last week, after being the Axe for upper management and having to lay off most of her staff. CSC are laying off major percent's of their work force, most were earning green dollars for the company. The new direction while implied is not ready, so people shifting to "the offerings" are getting laid off also.
