Former Employee - Manager
Hard for me to say, as it was over 5 years since I was employed there.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Dell still in many cases is a very political company to navigate. Organizations tend to work in silos each with its own emperor.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
With the return to privatization Dell became more focused on saving money in order to facilitate the change and took his eye off of building leaders
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Would suggest Dell to promote from within, too much bureocracy
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
You need to know the right people to get your work approved and get promotions.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Culture is open doors but too much bureaucracy, need some layers to get approvals and then when you get it, the goals changed.
Employee - Principal / Managing Director / General Manager
You will get a diverse experience by working across products and solutions, industries and geographies.
Employee - Principal / Managing Director / General Manager
Personal, relationship oriented kind of work culture.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Focus needs to be returned on creating a culture that values diversity
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Dell needs to become innovative to compete long term. More R&D and new products that might change the world. Apple did it, they can too.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Openly communicate with your manager and their manager. Everyone listens even if you think they don't and anyone can affect positive change with well thought out ideas.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
A culture that is fast paced + meritocracy. Performers were rewarded with promotions and additional responsibilities. Under-performers were managed out, however, and more development could have helped.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Enterpreneurial-type company culture.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Dell could have more clear career patching.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
You must be proactive and willing to live with a lot of ambiguity working here.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Culture depends on the unit. Some have a great culture where you can get afoot done. Others work you to death with little reward.
Employee - Director
Taught me to be confident as a self-starter. Taught me to deal well with ambiguity.
Employee - Director
Fend for yourself type company culture.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
Dell is a great place to work in. I love the fast-paced environment, the challenges it has to offer, flexibility in terms of work schedule and option to work remotely. I had to resign because I am relocating to another country. But given the chance to change anything, I would have extended and explored other positions within the organization that can allow me to work remotely.
Employee - Manager / Senior Manager
The company is continuously expanding and investing on innovations. The market share, specially on the commercial business, is growing YoY.
