Employee - Vice President

Mediocrity is celebrated

Employee - Associate

Change company culture and HR policies and procedures

Employee - Associate

No brand recognition in the US

Employee - Associate

No company sponsored programs.

Employee - Senior Vice President

Management culture, compensation, and employee retention and training could be improved significantly

Employee - Senior Vice President

Very dog eat dog. People get ahead at the expense of others

Employee - Vice President

Treat employees better with work hours and compensation

Employee - Vice President

Bank is very volatile. Traders made very risky trades which has left the firm trying to hedge bad trades. When I was there the credit prop trading desk was left unchecked and boaz Weinstein was left to do whatever he wanted without question by senior management. This caused over 4 billion in losses in 2009-2010.

Employee - Vice President

Very authoritative. Did not allow juniors to be part of the process. This will allow people to be more in tuned with decisions and culture and why senior management is impacting the firms decisions. Great colleagues but very bad senior management.

Employee - Vice President

When the CEO explicitly states that he wants to save the cost of severance pay by inducing attrition the writing is pretty much on the wall.

Employee - Vice President

It's a bulge bracket bank, it likely won't ever hurt you but it's not exactly Goldman Sachs either.

Employee - Vice President

My specific group is very new within the bank with over half the group joining in the past 6 months and now the group is already being shifted to another division within the organization and cutbacks are imminent. People left good jobs to join and now live with dramatic uncertainty and poor information flow.

Employee - Vice President

DB is at edge and people working here is not as satisfied as before

Employee - Vice President

It is a European bank, not too much power in NYC

Employee - Vice President

As a European bank, DB benefits is generally better than America's.

Employee - Vice President

Very slow org

Employee - Analyst

Recommending DB to a friend depends on what other options the friend is looking at and what they are looking to do, the current work environment and culture is somewhat behind at the bank; given the new management has a trajectory for planned changes and restructuring that would deem this as a temporary/transitional recommendation.

Employee - Analyst

Patience for the long term visionary and short term challenges are opportunities to contribute to a current diamond in the rough with a strong brand name. Given the current culture and environment, know what your expiration date is.

Employee - Analyst

Tenured employees who are still acting like cowboys, bullies and thrive on speculation, are a negative influence seemingly driven more by rewards instead of consequences.

Employee - Managing Director

Change management. I think they lost a good manager in Anshu Jain - and the current management is unproven. It is now behind the curve in innovation in banking and has a lot of business practice and compliance issues.
