There are smart bosses here, a collaborative team, and SF was an amazing location to work in.

Relationship between NY office and Chicago (Chicago is the main IB office) needs to be more transparent and equal between colleagues.

Even while working long hours (relative to the industry), I had a great time and it felt like fun at times.

The fraternity aspect among the team was very good, we felt like a team, they hired the same like-minded kind of people who have humility and are good at heart.

Employee - Senior Vice President

The standard of work is very low. They incentivize mediocrity and management has created a cycle where there is horrible retention of the performers.

Ivy leaguers should avoid Duff & Phelps! They will be frustrated and underutilized and, as a result, likely underpaid.

There seems to be a focus on incentivizing mediocrity. Any efforts I made to suggest or attempt to pursue top talent from Ivy League schools were rebuffed. The talent is average at best and they seem to like it that way. Any time a strong performer was brought in, he/she left quickly for greener pastures. It was very frustrating to be there and have see poor quality work consistently accepted and even rewarded.
