EY is very well known on the audit side, but in spite of it providing consulting services I don't think it is at the top of the mind when people talk about consulting firms. Of the big 4, Deloitte has the best reputation when it comes to consulting firms.

Employee - Senior Associate/Consultant

The best part about EY is that we knew we were not Bain or BCG or McKinsey, so rarely was anyone a snob. The vision 2020 goal was well articulated way back in 2012 and gave us clear direction where the company wanted to go and what was expected of us. The culture is collaborative and people often work in cross functional teams.

Stellar in most markets but folks don't understand the true relationship of the advisory work and the legacy that many have brought from other strategy and management consulting firms. It gets lost amidst the focus on tax and audit. Typical big 5 issues but once the client buyer knows the difference, it is a matter of time before they encounter some really capable consultants who deliver exceptional value.
